See? Self-Portrait with Tiny Brown Munchkins.

We spent most of this week babysitting some lovely little ones while their parents were in NYC....Two are adopted from foster care and one from Cambodia.....

We are blessed to have a church and school family with LOTS of adopted little ones running around. We've learned alot by observing these families so full of love that they open their homes to those who aren't their own blood....they MAKE them their own.

Who is that pale woman with those gorgeous children?

Ah, pooterhead, you may be pale, but you are so lovely! Has spending this time babysitting this week impacted you in any way as you consider adoption?

You know Sweetpea, our adoption agency America World, has a brand new program in El Salvador. It is also their least expensive. I have been tempted already by this. I have a strong pull to India, but there are enormous hurdles and it can take forever. But El Salvador is reasonable in all respects. To adopt from the Ukraine or Russia you are looking at expenses that can reach $40,000!!! El Salvador is around $15,000.

I love seeing you with those kiddos. I can't wait until I have get to adopt a whole brood of little dark chocolate boys. Maybe I'll start an orphanage and you can adopt from me. I know about 500 West Dallas kids that need a good mommy and daddy. I guess the hurdle would be getting them away from their current not so great mom.
