Is this an expression of your utter exhaustion? or an expression of your ability to cuddle in and find peace and rest even in the midst of uncomfortable circumstances? (I mean, wow, sleeping on a rock?!)

Yes, exhaustion. I'm a little out of shape at the moment...it was a long hike up a steep mountain...we're both pretty sore today. The view was worth it, though.
